The pages of history contain dark days that must not be forgotten, for forgetting them is a betrayal of the future. In the 1930s-1950s, thousands of innocent people were repressed under the brand of "enemy of the people"; their dreams and hopes and their aspiration for knowledge and enlightenment were violently cut short. Among them were Jadids, intellectuals, writers, and state and public figures who devoted themselves to the prosperity of the country.
A "Victims of Repression" corner was organized at the Fergana District Information and Library Center. "The victims of repression are not only a tragedy of the past but also an example that reminds us of the value of our peaceful and free life today. Their selflessness, love for the Motherland and courage on the path of truth will never be forgotten.
Today we bow our heads before their blessed memory and mention their names with reverence. Their lives and work foster patriotism, a sense of justice and devotion to enlightenment in the hearts of the younger generation.
