A seminar-training on "Gender Equality: Rights and Opportunities" was held

    

To ensure the fulfillment of the tasks set out in paragraph 2 of Order No. F-40 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 20, 2026, "On measures to organize at a high level the international events to be held in Samarkand in cooperation with the Inter-Parliamentary Union," and within the framework of the "Sustainable Development Goals Month," a training seminar on "Gender Equality: Rights and Opportunities" was organized at the Information and Library Center of Fergana District, Fergana Region.
 

The event was held in cooperation with the Fergana Region Department of Family and Women's Affairs and the Fergana District Family and Women's Affairs Division.

Specialists and experts of the regional Department of Family and Women's Affairs, women activists from the neighborhoods of Fergana District, residents, and representatives of partner organizations took part in the seminar.

During the event, issues were discussed such as ensuring gender equality, expanding women's rights and opportunities, increasing their social activity in society, ensuring equal opportunities in education and employment, and building healthy and equal relationships in families.

Regional specialists and experts gave explanations and recommendations on gender equality, protecting women's legal interests, and making effective use of the available opportunities.

At the end of the seminar, participants exchanged views on the topic and put forward proposals to further strengthen outreach and awareness-raising work on ensuring gender equality in the neighborhoods.
