The state language is not merely a means of communication but a symbol of national pride and state independence and the foundation of civic unity. As in all regions of our country, October 21, Uzbek Language Day, is widely celebrated in our region as well.
At the Information and Library Center of Fergana district, on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of the state language and of Uzbek Language Day on October 21, a round-table discussion with active readers was held on the topic “Ona tilim gavharim” (“My Native Language – My Jewel”).
